Sulfo-Cyanine5.5 is a far red emitting dye. Since almost no biological sources of fluorescence background emit in its range, this fluorophore provides great signal to noise ratio.

This molecule is a modified deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUTP) that is a substrate to many enzymes including simple Taq polymerase. Due to its extended amino-11-linker, this reagent provides a better alternative to aminoallyl derived triphosphates with dyes.

The QC of triphosphates includes HPLC-MS and enzymatic testing.

Sulfo-Cyanine5.5 is a dye with far-red emission approaching NIR range. It has found application in non-invasive live-organism imaging. This particular derivative of sulfo-Cyanine5.5, the DBCO (or ADIBO) derivative, contains cycloalkyne for copper-free conjugation of this fluorophore with various organic azides.

The reaction between DBCO and azides is blazingly fast, orders of magnitude exceeding the rate of copper-catalyzed reaction between azides and terminal alkynes. It is also catalyst-free.

This reagent can be used to conjugate sulfo-Cyanine5.5 dye to a variety of azide-labeled molecules.

Sulfo-Cyanine5.5 NHS ester is an amine reactive activated ester of sulfonated far red Cyanine5.5 fluorophore, an analog of Cy5.5®. This is a reagent of choice for the labeling of antibodies, sensitive proteins, and others which require reactions in purely aqueous environment, or without any significant additions of organic co-solvents.

The dye is well suitable for non-invasive in vivo NIR imaging, and for the applications requiring low fluorescent background.
