Placenta growth factor, PlGF, PGF1.
Introduction
Placental Growth Factor, also known as PGF is rich in trophoblastic giant cells which are linked with the parietal yolk sac at early stages of embryogenesis. Furthermore, the secretion of PGF by trophoblastic giant cells is the signal which initiates as well as co-ordinates vascularization in the deciduum and placenta during early embryogenesis.
