Synonyms
PIGF, PGF, PLGF-1.
Introduction
PLGF is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to receptor vegfr-1/flt1.
Description
Placental Growth Factor-1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of 2×132 amino acid polypeptide chains, having a total molecular mass of approximately 29.7kDa.
PLGF1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Source
Escherichia Coli.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized powder.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in 10mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Placental Growth Factor-1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability
Lyophilized PLGF1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Placental Growth Factor-1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
Analysis by RP-HPLC.
Analysis by -PAGE.
