Thrombopoietin or TPO or MGDF, is a protein that can be found in the liver and kidney tissues. TPO regulates the creation of platelets. The protein enhances the production & differentiation of cells such as megakaryocytes that are part of the bone marrow cells that secretes a wide number of platelets. The cellular development process that ends up in the production of platelet calls . Humoral growth factor is needed for the megakaryocyte proliferation & maturation of megakaryocyte, not apart from thrombopoiesis.

TPO Mouse Recombinant produced in HEK293 cells is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing  341 amino acids and having a molecular mass of  36.4kDa. TPO is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

TPO protein contains  Phosphate-Buffered Saline and 10% glycerol.

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein .
